Entry Fee: Jet 14's & Albacores - US Sailing Members: $30 Non-Members: $35. Laser's and IC's - US Sailing Members: $25 Non-Members: $30
Coffee and doughnuts before the race. Beer and sodas supplied by the Irey's after the race. Dinner Saturday after racing included.
Schedule: Registration will begin at 08:30 am. Skippers meeting will be held at 09:30 am.
Warning signal for the first race each day scheduled for 11:00 am.
Subsequent races will be held as soon as possible after the end of the previous race. While the total number of races is subject to the discretion of the race committee, the norm is three races on Saturday and two races on Sunday.
Rules: This event will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the WRSC General Sailing Instructions (SI's) and any applicable class rules. Any change to this NOR or SI's will be posted prior to 9:30 am the day of the race.
Start: A minimum of 3 boats are required for a start. Races will be started using Rule 26. No boat shall start later than four (4) minutes after its starting signal. For the first race each day the classes will start in the following order:
Albacore, Jet 14, Laser/Laser Radial, International Canoe
Course: Courses will be posted on the Starboard side of the committee boat in accordance with the Sailing instructions. Conditions permitting, races will be held near the mouth of Rhode River, or possibly in the protected cove west of Rhode River should conditions be severe.
Scoring: The Low-Point Scoring System, RRS A2 will apply, modified so that each boat's series score will be the total of her race scores with her worst score discarded if 6 or more races have been completed. A minimum of 3 boats are required for a start. Results will be posted on the Club bulletin board and the Club webpage: www.sailingsource.com/wrsc
Awards (Skipper and Crew): 1 award for 3 or more boats, 2 for 6 or more boats, 3 for 9 or more boats.
