NOTICE OF RACE

1. ORGANIZING AUTHORITY: Rock Hall Yacht Club

Rock Hall Yacht Club, on the Chesapeake's picturesque Eastern Shore, will host the 2007 Laser Masters Atlantic Coast Championship on Saturday and Sunday September 29-30. Rock Hall is a great place to sail with a lot of open water, very limited motor boat chop, easy beach launching and plenty of grass on which to park, rig, and set up a tent.

2. RULES: The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the Laser Class Rules (ILCA), the NA Masters Rules, this Notice of Race (NOR), the Sailing Instructions (SI) as issued, and any amendments.

3. CLASS: Laser Standard, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7. All sail in one fleet. In contrast to ILCA rules, Rigs may be switched back and forth throughout the regatta, provided the sail number is the same.

4. ELIGIBILITY: ILCA members who are 35 years of age or older as of the first day of the regatta. ILCA membership forms will be available at registration, but competitors are advised to join the class in advance of the regatta to expedite registration.

6. ENTRY: Entries are accepted at registration. Pre-registration by mail is available. Obtain registration form at www.rockhallyc.org. The entry fee of $50 ($45 for US Sailing Members) can be paid in cash or by check (made out to Rock Hall Yacht Club). No credit cards accepted. Entry includes Saturday dinner after racing at RHYC clubhouse (5 pm), continental breakfast and pizza after racing on Sunday.

7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: Available at registration.

8. SCORING: Low Point Scoring as per RRS Appendix A. In addition, the North American Masters Age Handicap system will be used to determine the overall winner as follows: GGM (65+) add 0 points per race, GM (55-64) add 1 point per race, M (45-54) add 2 points per race, and APP (35-44) add 3 points per race to their score. There will be one discard after 5 completed races.

9. PRIZES: 1st Overall, top 3 APP, top 3 M, top 3 GM, top 3 GGM, top 3 Females

10. RACING AREA: Chesapeake Bay/Chester River, at mouth of Langford Creek

11. COURSES: Combination of windward-leeward and Olympic courses as per SI.

12. ACCOMMODATION: Camping is available at the Club.
