NOTICE OF RACE - 2010 Laser Crab Claw Regatta
September 25-26, 2010

1 RULES:
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and the International Laser Class Association (ILCA) rules.
1.2 The Organizing Authority is Severn Sailing Association in conjunction
with Laser Fleet 10.

2 RISK
2.1 Disclaimer of Liability

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. Severn Sailing Association and Laser fleet 10 will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the regatta.

3 FLEET ELIGIBILITY
3.1 Both full rigs and radial rig Lasers may race in this event.
3.2 There will be separate starts for both Laser Standard and Laser Radial fleets.

4 FEES
4.1 Required Fees
Checks should be made payable to “LASER FLEET 10”. The entry fee is $60 USD. FOR ENTRIES RECEIVED BY MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2010, THE ENTRY FEE IS REDUCED TO $50 USD.
4.2 Online registration is available at http://ssa.sailregattas.com .
4.3 All payments must be in US dollars.
4.4 All early registrations must be received by Monday, September 20th. Competitors may register early online at http://ssa.sailregattas.com or by completing the standard registration form and sending it with the appropriate fees to:

4.5 The entry fee includes dinner and beverages after racing on Saturday.

5 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
5.1 Saturday, September 25
0830-0930 Registration
0930 Skippers Meeting
1100 First warning signal, races to follow
Dinner / crab feast and beverages after racing are included in registration fee.

Sunday, September 26
1000 First warning signal, races to follow
Awards to follow ASAP after last race.
5.2 No race to shall start after 1400 on Sunday.

6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
6.1 The sailing instructions will be available during on-site registration.

7 SCORING
7.1 The Low Point Scoring System, Appendix A2, will be used except as modified below.
7.2 There will be one discard when five or more races are completed.

8 AWARDS
Prizes will be awarded to:
Laser fleet: First through third place, first master and first woman.
Radial fleet: First through third place, first master and first woman
