NOTICE OF RACE
Rock Hall Yacht Club Opening Day Regatta 2010
The Rock Hall Yacht Club, located on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake, will host its 2009 Opening Day Regatta on Saturday May 1st, 2010.
REGISTRATION:
Register online at http://www.rockhallyachtclub.org
On-site registration will be Saturday, May 1st beginning at 0830 in the RHYC Clubhouse.
FEES:
$30.00 adult online registration;
$25.00 junior online registration;
US Sailing Members $25.00 online registration;
CBYRA Junior Members $20.00 online registration;
Registration on or after April 29, 2010 is $35.00 for adults;
Registration on or after April 29, 2010 is $30.00 for juniors.
TIMING: Skippers Meeting at 0930 hours
Flag Raising Ceremony 1000 hours
1st race 1100 hours, off the water no later than 1630 hours
CLASSES: Lasers, Jr. Laser Radial, Windmills, and Lightning
Participation is open to all boats and sailors in each class.
This regatta is a CBYRA Junior High Point event.
FORMAT: Back to back races up to five races total.
Courses will be windward/leeward with up to four legs. Worst score race will be excluded if four or more races are completed.
AWARDS: 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall place awards for Lasers and Jr. Laser Radials;
1st place for Windmill, Lightning
RULES: Racing will be governed by US Sailing “The Racing Rules of Sailing 2009 – 2012”
REFRESHMENTS: RHYC offers a full meal menu and full bar. We welcome all sailors and their families for a late lunch or dinner at the club (meal cost is not included in the registration fee). We welcome all sailors to join us for Kentucky Derby festivities at the club after racing.
