Winter Regatta

The Hampton Yacht Club One Design Fleet hosted it's second annual winter regatta on March 24th. We had 6 lasers and 4 Vanguard 15's. It was a great day for racing with sunny skies, 70 degrees air temps that more than made up for the 45 degree water, and 18 to 22 knots of wind. The weather gods were smiling on us. The Vanguard fleet got off 3 races. The competition was great with Chris Johnson and Tina Hazard trading off bullets. The Laser fleet got off 6 races and also had great competition.
George Panayides and Henry Amthor were slugging it out for first place with Bill Warren being right behind them. After racing all the competitors enjoyed chili at the club.
Thanks to Ken Hidu (PRO), Marty Stefens for letting us use his boat for the RC, and the rest of the people that helped with chase/mark boats, Race Committee, and registration.
