Hangover Regatta

It was almost 50 degrees on New Year's Day. 23 Lasers from far and wide and 5 Interlakes came to compete in the Hangover Regatta. We got off two races (twice around with a leeward gate) in a great northwesterly breeze and two more (once around) in a dying north easterly. I believe we had two capsizes -- one caused by a sudden maneuver to avoid a colision and another by jet wash!
Tom also put together some great awards for the top guys: first and second prizes were framed pictures of Lasers (or Interlakes) along with a handy thermometer/compass reminiscent of Olympic medals. Third prize was a block of blue ice personalized with the event name and place. Fourth price was a choice of a daily cat or dog calendar.
