45th Annual Virginia Governor's Cup

Ware River Yacht Club had 2 great days of sailing for the 45th Annual Governor’s Cup. 6 Lasers competed in the Adult Laser Fleet while 11 sailors competed in the junior fleet. On Saturday the wind was blowing around 8-15 with mostly sunny skies. On Saturday, the wind was blowing 12-17. A storm was coming through late Sunday so two races were run and everyone got in well ahead of the rain.
In the Adult Fleet Jon Deutsch (FBYC) had 3 bullets to finish ahead of Taylor Morgan (WRYC), and Ric Bushey. In Junior fleet Carl White (WRYC) won 7 out of 8 races to finish in 1st clear ahead of Elizabeth Henderson and Logan George.
